How to store Pokémon cards so they stay in great condition
Sleeve the cards you care about, keep your best cards in toploaders, use side loading binders for collections, and store everything somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sunlight.

A simple storage setup
- Bulk and commons: a cardboard storage box, sorted by set or type
- Collection cards: a zip or side loading binder, so cards do not slide out
- Your best cards: penny sleeve, then a toploader or semi rigid holder
- Your deck: sleeved, in a deck box
What damages cards
- Humidity, which can make cards curl. Australia's summers are tough on cards, so keep them away from damp spots
- Direct sunlight, which fades colours
- Rubber bands and O ring binders, which dent and bend cards
